Hymns
At the Funeral Home you are welcome to choose the music playing while any service or repose is taking place. If you would like musicians or singers to perform at the funeral, we can recommend trusted performers and book them on your behalf.
Whereas in general the priest or celebrant will prepare the prayers or readings for a funeral service, the family can select the hymns and music of your choice as part of the process of planning the Mass or service. We are able to help you with choosing pieces of music and hymns.
The music must be respectful and mostly based on hymns and the usual preference is for an organist and possibly or soloist to sing appropriate hymns during the service. Other choices include string quartets, family friends, a bagpiper or folk groups.
